well I don't know if this falls in to that category specifically, but I'm totally blind, so there is no vision to improve, but what I'd invent if I could to make things better for those of us and computers is a talking operating system. That would totally make screen readers unnecessary, because everything would be accessible, including all that stuff that comes up while windows is loading. We'd have access to any errors or messages that might come up if and when the computer can't start.

That would be cool, Wonderwoman. I would invent a scanner that could take exact immage pictures of a picture or any piece of writing, and then print it out as either Braille or a raised-line copy, like a standalone scanner/embosser/braill-printer all in one.

That sounds good too Tinker bell. That just made me think, I'd also invent a talking stand alone print reader, for which I wouldn't charge the moon and the stars for, and I'd make it so it could read any kind of print, whether it would print, or handwriting. There'd be none of this deal where the recognition would be so bad that the reading would be unintelligible, and it would be small enough to fit in your hand, like my little mp3 player, or my portable dvd player.

That would be really cool. *smiles* I'd love to have something that could read handwriting especially. Then I could read college notes and handwritten mail on my own!

I would too, not college notes, because I don't go to college, but I'd love to have something that could read handwriting.

I mean I can hardly improve my vision but that's why I would invent this picture-describer so I can at least imagine them with that very little bit I see.

Nice things. I can use with some of those.

Hmmmmm, I'd invent a talking car and one that can drive us, so it stops at lights and follow all the rules. Also have a nice gps system.
